6th Annual Louie Bonpua Olympic Distance Triathlon
This Sunday, Jan 21st we honor the memory of Louie Bonpua. This will be our 6th annual running of the Louie Bonpua Memorial Olympic Distance Triathlon.
SCHEDULE:
7:00 AM: Staff and Volunteer Arrival for Setup
7:30 AM: Volunteer meeting
8:00 AM: Racers Arrive/Registration Opens
9:00 AM: Race Briefing
9:15 AM: Start of 1st Wave
12:00 PM: Lunch begins - eat as soon as you finish.(turkey or veggie
sandwich wrap) - bring your own drink!
1:15 PM: End of Race
1:20 PM: Post-Race Meeting, Lunch, Coaches’ Talk, Honoree Program
ATHLETES’ SCHEDULE:
1. Arrive by 8:00 AM
2. Register
3. Set up transition
4. Get body marked
5. Get in your wetsuit
6. Attend race briefing
7. Walk (as a group) to the start.
8. Have a great race!
9. Eat lunch and cheer on the rest of the team
10. Attend post-race meeting
NOTES:
1. All athletes should bring $5-$10 to cover the cost of food for
yourself and the volunteers.
2. All athletes should bring 1 Gallon of water for the waterstops.
3. Be sure to bring warm dry clothes for after the race
4. Consider bringing a chair for the post-race program.
5. Note that there is a significant walk/run between the swim and
bike, consider bringing an extra pair of shoes for this part.
6. Wear your flames!!
7. You must start in your pre-assigned wave.
8. Sorry, no pets allowed.
Remember, this is a full-speed race. Time will be kept. Come rested
and ready to test your endurance. Please find, attached, a course
