Melissa

1. Hometown: Walnut Creek, CA
2. Schools Attended: Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo
3. Current or Coolest Jobs: Current: Account Exec for World Wide Marketing at Autodesk; one of the coolest: Working for the 2000 Sydney Olympics in Sydney (miss that city!)
4. Races You’ve Done and Would Do Again: Honolulu Marathon (beautiful but never again…I hate running); Bethel Island Olympic tri (I signed up that morning, never having been on a bike since I was 10, no wetsuit and rode some guy’s neighbor’s mountain bike…I would do it again to see how much better I could do on a road bike); Wildflower Half (no choice…isn’t this one of our practices? : ) )
5. Why Ironman/IronTeam and Why Now: Been a goal since I was a little girl and heard my uncle talk about his Ironman races, including doing the one on Kona. Why now? If not now, when?
6. Favorite Tri Gear(s): Body glide… : )
7. Favorite Food/Restaurants: The honest truth is cheeseless pizza (especially the crust) and frozen yogurt. I also like sushi, mediterranean food and thai food. For restaurants, I LOVE Melos in Pleasant Hill (the awesomest pizza) and Miraku in Walnut Creek. There are so many places I want to try and haven’t so I am always accepting suggestions!
8. Favorite Vacation Spots: Turks and Caicos and Hawaii
9. Favorite Book, Movie, Web site or all of the above: I love to read so can’t really name one favorite but I did love The Lovely Bones. Movies: Leaving Las Vegas, Requiem for a Dream, Welcome to the Dollhouse. Website: I am beyond cheesey but I love Perezhilton.com. Bad magazines and gossip sites are my downfall.
10. What do you like to do when you’re not working out? Hanging with the man, going on walks with my friends, reading, swimming, going to comedy shows, and I am not ashamed to admit it…I like TV. Yeah, I said it.
Send over two truths and a lie about yourself.
I will work on these.
