Why? If it were easy everyone would do it.

Other Races! You’ve done: IMC 06-07, Vineman, Santa Cruz Sentinel a couple other Olympic and sprint distance events.

Motivation: I race in honor of the birth of our healthy child. It is a gift that not everyone is given. I race to celebrate my health and the good health of everyone I care about. I race for the ones who can’t race for themselves. I don’t race to fight cancer. I race to kill it.

Goal: No flats, quick recoveries from any mistakes on race day. My wife and son running over the finish line with me.

Favorite Tri Gadgets: Garmin GPS, Halo Headbands.

Favorite Books: If you give a Moose a Muffin, Dinosaur Stomp.

Favorite Movies and/or TV Show: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, What Dreams May Come. Any movie where the good guy wins after kicking a lot of bad guy butt. No Chick Flicks, No artsy foreign films (unless Jackie Chan is in it).

Favorite Songs/Artists: 70’s & 80’s Rock.

Favorite Web Sites: wunderground.com, because you gotta know what the weather is going to be like during training.

Favorite Restaurant(s): Patrick David’s for the good stuff but I love to eat and will go just about anywhere any time.

What do you like to do when you’re not working out? Spending time with the Family. I love learning new things.
