Zoom Multisports Clearance Sale
Zoom Multisports Clearance Sale: 50-70% off everything in the store!
http://www.zoommultisports.com/messages/default.asp?cbbpid=22
The end of the year is just around the corner and we’re trying to get rid of EVERYTHING! Yes…Everything!
How good is this sale? Well, if buying new Tri and Bike gear for less than cost is something you’re looking for, then you need to stop by ASAP! We’ve marked everything in the store down 50-70% Off the normal retail pricing!!!
Why are we discounting so much? Our store is packed with 2007 merchandise thats just sitting on the shelves taking up space. We can’t exactly send it back, so we’re doing the best we can to get rid of it.
What’s on sale? EVERYTHING! If you see it, we’ve probably discounted it. If you don’t see it…ask! We might have it laying around somewhere. This includes Clothing, Parts, Accessories, Bicycles, Shoes, Helmets, Sunglasses, you name it! Keith might even be persuaded to sell you the clothes off his back…slightly used
When does it end? We really don’t know! Since it’s a clearance sale, the object is to clear everything out as fast as we can. We’ll more than likely keep it going until the core of our 2007 back-stock is gone.
The discounts are insane and the good stuff will go quickly. Come by as soon as you can!

Orbea Diva

Bike porn for today.
I have to give you the description of the bike in Spanish. Sexier that way.
What’s good about a great bike is it’s a great bike and fun to ride, light, blah, blah, blah. The bad part is, can’t blame it on the bike anymore, and you got to go shopping for other bike gear to match.
And yes it’s ok if your bike costs more than your current car. (not really but at least you have a cool bike).

SwiMP3 v.2

Ok. This SwiMP3 v.2 player is pretty tight, for $199 you can play the Little Mermaid sound track or whatever you’re into.
Version 1 is pretty cool too (and you can get one from Nancy for only $50, this is one of her fundraisers).
The new SwiMP3 v.2 underwater MP3 player is an incredible audio experience. Imagine listening to hours of your own music during your swim workout. The SwiMP3’s innovative sound transfer technology offers exception underwater sound quality. Standard players rely on the transmission of sound through air or water causing the swimmer to perceive only muffled noise. The SwiMP3 uses bone conduction – the direct transfer of sound vibrations from the cheek bone to the inner ear – to provide the swimmer with exceptional sound clarity. The SwiMP3 is fully waterproof and can be used with all the competitive swim strokes.
Weighs only 2 ounces. We have removed the back control console. Easily Clips onto any goggles, without taking your goggles apart.
We’re going to geek out on swim toys, err…swim gear this week.

Winter Bike Riding Gear
It’s Winter time and we still need to go out for our bike rides outside which means it’s going to be cold and wet.
So this is what you’ll need:
- bike skull cap or ear warmers are optional
- rain jacket or spiffy IronTeam jacket works or other bike jacket
- a bike vest works ok with armwarmers if no chance of rain and if you’re wearing baselayers
- baselayers, long, short or tank top
- warmers: leg and arm warmers (recommended); knee warmers are ok, long bike pants are ok
- nice socks
- full gloves (not fingerless)
- full shoe covers or toe covers (your toes can get really, really cold)
If you have any questions about gear, ask. We love toys on this team.

Head to Toe - Ironman Gear Part 1

Part 1 - the Swim
Head - swim cap or skull cap, goggles (prescription, tinted or clear)
optional: ear plugs, nose plugs
Body -
- Long or short sleeve wet suit
- Some brands: Orca, Blue Seventy (Ironman brand), Quintana Roo, 2XU
- swim trunks or bathing suit underneath unless wearing tri-gear
Long or short sleeve? Most folks go with the long sleeve. Short sleeve gives you more range of motion. Need to consider chafing, weather, and feel when making your decision.
A middle tier wet suit is good enough for what you need for price/performance. The higher up you go, the better the feel/flexibility of the suit.
What’s New - a current trend is to wear swim skins for no-wetsuit-allowed swims
Feet -
- optional: Booties/swim socks
- If you get these, you are not allowed to whine when we swim in Aquatic Park.
Other stuff -
- Body glide. It’s better if you have your own stick of Body Glide.
