Hey guys,
So guess what. What? (You are probably asking yourself.) Well, for some reason the marines did not send me to rejoin my unit in the Mojave Desert.
So, the good news is that I most likely will not be going overseas. Now for the not so good news. They have sent me down to the Head Quarters for the Marine Corps Reserves in New Orleans. The worse part is Mardis Gras is next Tuesday, and they ve given me time off Monday and Tuesday to enjoy (I mean put up with) the festivities. For those of you guys who think I am in jail, I am not. (though that might change after Mardis Gras).
For those of you who think I ran. ( I am glad I didnt follow that advice). I am not really sure what is going on down here, where exactly they are going to send me or even how long I am going to be down here. I don t even have an address at the moment where you can send me letters. I ll have a better picture of whats going on in a week.
I ll be sure to keep you posted. In the mean time, I really appreciate your praying for me and thinking about me. Something like
this has really forced me to think about those things and people that are important to me and to not let any more moments pass without seizing it.
That being said..... I m gonna go and spend my life's savings on beads. You know $22.17 doesnt go as far as it used to. I love you guys. You guys are awesome.
